The founder of the Somerville Ecovillage project, based in Perth Western Australia, Paul has been involved in developing a unique process which has enabled the project to be self funding. This proces in conjunction with extensive travel to Ecovillages around the world and research as part of his PhD, has enabled the evolution of the Ecovillage Economics concept.

This expertise and experience provided the basis for the development of the 'Making Ecovillages Happen' Model. The model provides a complete framework for the sustainable development of Ecovillage projects.

His professional career spans almost two decades. As a professional engineer he was involved in key management of large scale projects in Europe, Asia and Australia. His business background includes businesses in manufacturing, consulting, e-commerce, construction, information technology. Property innovation and ecovillage development is his current business focus.

Paul has over 20 years diverse property investment experience which includes current ownership in residential, commercial and land investments.

Paul’s hands on and direct presentation style enables participants to become engaged and develop a practical understanding of how the concepts and details can be used in actual projects and situations.
