A telephone survey was completed at the
beginning of this year in regard to the Draft Lot Layout. Results showed a
preference for "cluster style housing".
What we mean by "cluster style
housing" is a horseshoe plan of lots with a central focal point for
the cluster rather than a linear arrangement. An example (cluster 7
in the Draft Lot Layout) is shown here.
To achieve this desired lot layout,
one option may be to provide no direct vehicle access to some lots, but have
a parking lot nearby. Overseas research showed that this was the case in
most of the villages visited.

survey so that the best possible lot layout is achieved when further work
will take place on the Lot Layout in April.
